In fine art reproduction technology, painters and photographers consider giclee prints superior to other printing methods because of the beauty, colors, and resolution (more will follow). Giclee art prints are coveted by collectors. Giclee reproduction offers a beautiful curve rendition, on coated papers, for instance in giclee canvas, watercolor, with a brilliance only achievable with fine brand papers prepared for giclee printers.

Giclee printing (made with Epson, Mimaki, Roland, Canon and other fine printers) with its long, wide, great variety of bases, continual tone and unsurpassed color gamut, is one of the most cost effective and better quality means  to increase art marketing revenue. Giclee printing is tonality rich, luscious in subtle ways. Sinfully rich, thick high durability substrates catering to the discerning visual artist accustomed to the best fine art prime materials.

We offer fine art printing on different papers including canvas watercolor and photo. We use microencapsulated pigments with an archivability of up to 100 years. The latest three dimensional gamut models on K3 pigments widely surpass color rendition possible with silver halide printing or presses. A giclee print can be treated to insure a degree of proofing against water and UV damage. Some of our papers and pigments do not require any post-printing treatment. As with anything printed or painted, it is a good idea to keep your work not under direct sun light.

We strive to match our colors through the different papers we use to print your giclee. Through the employment of custom made ICC profiles prepared for each specific paper, a color consistency is expected. Our profiles are all enhanced, which means more color steps are used to create them. Because profiles are based on a device - independent color space (CIE LAB), they provide "food" for the RIP software to adjust to the paper type. This said, when printing giclees on one type of paper compared to another, there are inherent gamut differences. Delta E (The difference expected for different batches) on inks and papers is usually less than 1. In simple terms, expect to order a second set of giclees on the same paper i.e. six months down the road and there should be virtually no change in print colors.

Color correction and minor retouching are offered free of charge. when giclee printing services are ordered in a package. We employ digital imaging software layering techniques tuned to create tonal rendition without histogram gaps and minimize degradation. Adjustment layers prevent the original file from being affected until we are ready to print. For extensive retouching and composition an estimate will be provided and it is based on the time involved.

Upon receipt of your images we will proceed to scan and output a giclee print and send it to you if you wish. Generally proofs are 8X10" and provide good information about color and sharpness. You have the option to call or e-mail us to give us a Bon a tirer of the giclee proof before printing or you can mark it up and send it back for correction.
