Allpconline philosophy to offer the highest quality giclee prints continues with with the recent purchase of the new Epson 11880. This printer joins the 9800 line we have currently used for the past two years. Our initial tests reveal stunning results both in dot shape/size as well as color. Below are some of the highlights that define the current state of the art technology for giclee printing:
Larger Prints, better dot, greater color gamut
- Use of a nine channel Micro Piezo TFP print head: an unprecedented one inch print head with 360 nozzles. Reduced vibration creates a finer shaped dot.
- High density K3 pigments and the use of the new Vivid Magenta ink to increase gamut in the blues. Color stability immediately after printing.
- True black and white output that rivals silver gelatin prints.
- Variable size droplet to create the finest dot available. The new Piezo technology greatly surpasses the quality of other printers using thermal inkjet heads.
- Ability to switch photo and matte blacks on the fly to prints on matte, satin and glossy fine art media.
- Extremely high D-max (Black density up to 2.55)
Super wide truly archival prints
Giclee prints can now be made up to 64" wide and up to 480" long. While there are other super wide printers on the market, Epson is clearly the leader in head and ink technology for the giclee printing market. We are now proud to offer the best large format giclees on the new 11880.
