Transparency and Negative Film Scans

We offer high resolution scanning services for artists and photographers. Although a medium or large format transparency are highly recommended for giclee large format reproduction, 35 mm film is acceptable for small print up to 16X20 and for web/portfolio or show submission purposes.

4X5 and medium format scans: $95 with color correction, $55 raw

35 mm film: $75 with color correction, $45 raw

Direct art scans: $225. Price includes color correction, no size limit, a CD and an 8X10 proof on your substrate of choice.

Film negatives pose a particular challenge for color as the orange mask, which differs from film to film, is problematic to filter out accurately without having a reference print. If you have a small print we can more precisely color correct. Without a print, we use our best judgement to render a pleasing balance.
