Covering all grounds is essential. Reaching maximum exposure through the Internet by joining online galleries and having a website is almost a must theses days. The traditional means of showing art are still valuable and essential. Art shows are a great way to sell and make contacts. Local galleries are always on the lookout for new art. It is important to have a body of work. No serious agent or gallery will accept art where only one or two pieces were ever created.

Do not be afraid of knocking on doors and call galleries. There are many instances of artists who have work that will not sell well where they live. If you paint ultra modern abstracts, it is likely no one will buy them in rural Arkansas.
